Open Industry Standards for Investment Protection
The airClient Nexus TOTAL 241 uses the license free bands in 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band. Use of the IEEE 802.11 b/g industry standards allows interoperability with third party access points. The radio provides an easy migration path to upgrade existing 802.11b based wireless networks and provides investment protection for the equipment.
The integrated antenna makes this CPE ideal for situations where a low cost basic model is required.
Networking Features for Residential deployments
The airClient Nexus TOTAL 241 includes Network Address Translation (NAT) and Router capabilities for isolating the ISP's network. The Bandwidth Control feature allows service providers to make the best use of their available bandwidth, and thereby maximize revenue, by providing differing services to each of their customers according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Utilizing the popular network management standards (SNMPv2c), the airClient Nexus TOTAL 241 can be remotely configured by the user friendly web management interface. The web interface allows for the remote management and configuration of wireless-centric network device parameters such as channel selection, network association, data rate, site survey, etc.
Quick and Easy Deployment
Residential and rural deployments must have low installation times – higher the time required for installations, higher will be the attached cost. The airClient Nexus TOTAL 241 is designed for rapid out-of-the-box installation. The radio kit is shipped fully assembled to save assembly time in the field. With an integrated antenna, pre-installed mounting brackets and simple-to-use software, the CPE can be set up rapidly and cost-effectively.
