Unprecedented RF performance
Using the latest COFDM technology, the airHaul Nexus TOTAL radio operates in the license free 5.1 GHz to 5.8 GHz bands (software selectable) to deliver 24 non-overlapping channels. In the event of RF congestion, the software tunable Nexus radios can remotely change the frequency bands.
In addition, the radio employs advanced interference mitigation techniques to provide high availability to the clients. It delivers high transmit power and ultra high receive sensitivity for long operating range, giving reliable and high performance wireless backhaul links for distant subscribers.
Intelligent Networking for the Wireless Backhaul
Supporting the superior RF performance are the network processing capabilities combined with a host of intelligent Layer 3 networking features. The built-in wide area edge router capabilities allow the operators to deploy large, scalable and hierarchical networks.
The Spanning Tree Protocol facilitates installation of redundancy in the network. The WatchGuard feature of the airHaul continuously monitors the device and performs an automatic recovery for realizing high system availability. The airHaul has a unified Web and SNMP (MIB II compliant) based remote management interface. This means quick integration of the airHaul Nexus TOTAL with the industry leading EMS solutions.
Carrier Class Attributes
The purpose built airHaul Nexus TOTAL with electrical overstress protection can withstand harsh outdoor operating environments ranging from -49º F to 140º F (-45º C to +60º C) and very humid or dry conditions. The rust proof plenum rated metal enclosure with enclosed N Connectors give added protection from environmental conditions.
Quick and Easy Deployment
Field installation is expensive and time-consuming; therefore, the airHaul Nexus TOTAL is designed for rapid out-of-the-box installation. With the easy-to-use backhaul, simple-to-use software and audio tone antenna alignment aid, the network can be set up rapidly and cost-effectively.
The radio kit is shipped fully assembled to save assembly time in the field. An external high gain antenna can be connected via the N Connector. This flexibility allows the service provider to use a single backhaul equipment to meet a variety of subscriber installation requirements.
