This provides a much needed flexibility to choose the right antenna with the pattern and gain characteristics to conform to local regulatory limits. This makes it investment friendly, since it gives choice of antenna equipment across multiple vendors

Superior Operating Range - airBridge™ outdoor features LongRange™ 802.11b radio that provides enhanced power to deliver high data throughput and long operating range. smartBridges' superior design of the radio receiver allows it to listen to the smallest incoming signals. These superior receiver and transmitter characteristics result in long-range wireless coverage. With a suitable external antenna, the range extends over 34 kilometers (21 miles) in free open space.

Proven Performance in Harsh Environments - Housed in a NEMA 4X weatherproof casing, the airBridge™ Outdoor is built to operate in harsh environments. This device can be installed on the building exterior as well as indoors. airBridge™ Outdoor delivers reliable performance under all climatic conditions, withstanding temperatures between -40 C to +65 C (-40 F to 150 F). It is the perfect solution for wireless applications in dusty, wet, oily environments like a factory or a chemical plant.

Easy Installation - The self-contained airBridge™ Outdoor unit can be mounted on a pole or wall. With the powerShot™, a standard PoE injector, the airBridge™ Outdoor can be powered over an outdoor rated Ethernet cable provided with the unit. airBridge™ Outdoor also features plug-and-play installation that enables quick and efficient deployment. It works with all WiFi™ compatible Access Points and eliminates complicated client installations and driver conflicts with various OS.

Easy to Monitor and Manage - airBridge™ Outdoor is supported by simpleMonitor™, an advanced Management tool designed using Open Systems architecture. It utilizes popular network management standards (SNMP) to manage the wireless-centric network device parameters such as, channel selection, network association, data rate and site survey etc. Its graphical user interface is extremely intuitive for navigating, examining, and managing the airBridge™ Outdoor.
