Open Industry Standards for Investment Protection
The airClient Nexus PRO TOTAL uses the license free ISM (and UNII) bands in 2.4 GHz or 5.1 - 5.8 GHz frequencies, giving 27 non-overlapping channels*. In addition, the radio employs advanced interference mitigation techniques to provide high service availability to the subscribers. Use of the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g industry standards allows interoperability with third party access points. The multi-band radio provides an easy migration path to upgrade existing 802.11b based wireless networks and provides investment protection for the equipment.
Intelligent Networking Features for Triple-Play Multimedia services
Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritization, bandwidth management for the wireless and Ethernet interfaces make the airClient Nexus PRO TOTAL the intelligent choice for enterprise class customers. The bandwidth management and Quality of Service capability on the Ethernet interface allows the bandwidth to be controlled and prioritized by multiple users; thus lowering the cost and increasing the Return on Investment (ROI) per subscriber. The ability to guarantee bandwidth to critical applications, limit bandwidth to low priority applications, and mark packets to provide end-to-end QoS, ensures enhanced performance for data, voice and video traffic.
The airClient Nexus PRO TOTAL includes Network Address Translation (NAT) and Router capabilities for isolating the service provider's network. When used with airPoint™ Nexus, the airClient Nexus PRO TOTAL can support unlimited MACs as a fully transparent bridge for joining remote network segments.
Quick and Easy Deployment
Field installation is time consuming and expensive; therefore, the airClient Nexus PRO TOTAL is designed for rapid out-of-the-box installation. The radio kit is shipped fully assembled to save assembly time in the field. Because of the integrated antennas, pre-installed mounting brackets, audio tone for antenna alignment aid, simple-to-use software, the network can be set up rapidly and cost-effectively. The integrated high performance multi-band antennas are suitable for servicing most of the subscribers. For some hard to reach subscribers, external high gain antenna can be connected to the N connector. This flexibility allows the operator to use a single CPE equipment to meet a variety of subscriber installation requirements.
